Nadja Auermann is a force of nature; it’s like she’s not even real. Shot by couple Luigi + Iango (who are quickly become my favourite photographer duo), this story is dark, sensual, and highlights Auermann’s otherworldly limbs (those LEGS! I’ve loved them for decades!) and striking grace.

Nadja Auermann is a goddess who should be worshipped and revered! Look at her! She’s the Tilda Swinton of the Supers! She’s art! This editorial by Matthew Stone plays with bold colour and highlights Auermann’s ability to contort herself into gorgeous sculptural lines. Splendid beauty!

Three queens stun is all in this inspiring editorial by Luigi & Iango for the current issue of Exhibition. I’m noticing lately that Luigi & Iango, who have always been very talented, have really upped their game lately. A lot of the editorials that have caught my eye this year have been by them. This shoot in particular is just stunning. I know everyone still loves Naomi, and she deserves all the love, but spend some time with Nadja and Stella as well, they’re both iconic goddesses.

New and Old Editorials by Ellen von Unwerth

Ellen von Unwerth’s been a long time favorite of both myself and Bo – her celebration of fun, pretty ladies, retro looks and female sexuality creates a world that, in our eyes, is exactly the way the world should look.  This month EVU has two edits in Vogue Brazil, a perfect venue for her brightly coloured, highly stylized photos.  I also found these amazing pictures of Bjork from 1993 that I’ve never seen before, showing her when she was a baby pixie princess and not the otherworldly queen she is now.  It’s amazing to see how much she’s changed while still keeping that internal spark that makes her her.

Once upon a time, tall, long limbed, graceful, athletic women ruled the Earth. They were on all the magazine covers, in all of the ads, dated all of the rock stars like the Amazonian Goddesses they were. Another generation of ladies came soon after, ethereal, Pre-Raphaelite faeries with haunted eyes and delicate features. These beautiful icons of style have come together for the Vogue Nippon 15th Anniversary Issue, photographed by Luigi + Iango. The cast includes 80s supermodels Claudia Schiffer, Nadja Auermann, Stephanie Seymour, Linda Evangelista and Naomi Campbell, 90s supermodels Carolyn Murphy, Eva Herzigova, Guinevere Van Seenus and Maggie Rizer and the latest crop of supers, Saskia de Brauw, Tao Okamoto, Malgosia Bela, Mariacarla Boscono and Natasha Poly, all wearing Comme des Garcons with ease.
