The March issue of Vogue Italia is a triumph! Starting right off the bat with a stunning cover shot by Steven Meisel of Rianne von Rompaey. This cover is a perfect example of why I have pledged my eternal undying love to Vogue Italia as my favourite Vogue publication and Meisel as my favourite cover artist. They are my most beloved marriage (after Bey & Jay of course) and I hope the separation they were going through is over, because this is what my heart desires – ethereal beauty!

And that’s just the beginning my loves, because inside, oh inside! The cover story is a unique selection of ingénue portraits, just what Meisel does best! Photographers featured in this issue are among the most talented of our time and each of their editorials seem to celebrate their own unique style and remind us just why we love them. I’m going to specifically show you a few stories, but there are also spreads by Craig McDean, Mario Sorrenti, Michel Comte, Miles Aldridge, and Sarah Moon, as well as a third by Paolo Roversi and a second by Ellen von Unwerth & Sølve Sundsbø. Truly we are blessed! Now go buy the issue because there is no sweeter feeling than stroking the glossy pages of a truly magnificent fashion magazine!

Numéro & I have only ever had a casual relationship. Usually I find its shoots a bit messy and full of too much effort that doesn’t quite pay off. April’s issue, however, is a full-on triumph! Its cover star Mariacarla Boscono stars in a Gaultier feature by Peter Lindbergh (the only issue I have with this shoot is that it doesn’t really display the Gaultier as well as it displays Boscono & Lindbergh’s moody style). Eniko Mihalik pairs with Greg Kadel in a delightfully filthy exhibitionist shoot. Three more stories feature models who I’m not familiar with, but who have definitely caught my eye now: Ophélie Guillermand in a stunning bold portrait session with Warren Du Preez & Nick Thornton Jones, Giedre Kiaulenaite in a colourful shoot by Miles Aldridge that plays beautifully with perspective, and Chiharu Okunugi shot by Hans Feurer in Feurer’s iconic summertime, sun-drenched style. Gorgeous! All of it!

In these latest editorials, Barbara Palvin exemplifies 90’s supermodel sensuality. The beach swept photoshoot by gauzy-image-master David Bellemere is reminiscent of Milla Jovovich’s turn in the 90’s flick Return to the Blue Lagoon. The Miles Aldridge edit for Vogue Japan is lush, silken sex, with Barbara’s haunting eyes and pout pulling you in.
