The March issue of Vogue Italia is a triumph! Starting right off the bat with a stunning cover shot by Steven Meisel of Rianne von Rompaey. This cover is a perfect example of why I have pledged my eternal undying love to Vogue Italia as my favourite Vogue publication and Meisel as my favourite cover artist. They are my most beloved marriage (after Bey & Jay of course) and I hope the separation they were going through is over, because this is what my heart desires – ethereal beauty!

And that’s just the beginning my loves, because inside, oh inside! The cover story is a unique selection of ingénue portraits, just what Meisel does best! Photographers featured in this issue are among the most talented of our time and each of their editorials seem to celebrate their own unique style and remind us just why we love them. I’m going to specifically show you a few stories, but there are also spreads by Craig McDean, Mario Sorrenti, Michel Comte, Miles Aldridge, and Sarah Moon, as well as a third by Paolo Roversi and a second by Ellen von Unwerth & Sølve Sundsbø. Truly we are blessed! Now go buy the issue because there is no sweeter feeling than stroking the glossy pages of a truly magnificent fashion magazine!

After 17 years, Steven Meisel is rumored to have broken off his partnership with Vogue Italia.  Though the details are sketchy at this point, one thing is definitely clear from the most recent issue – Vogue Italia is going in a new direction creatively.  Tapping some of fashion’s biggest photographers, this issue features the faces of the wave of Chinese models currently dominating magazines world wide.  My personal favorite of all these editorials is Fei Fei Sun by Mert and Marcus, which heavily features Givenchy’s jewelry.

Fei Fei Sun by Mert & Marcus; Xiao Wen Ju by Steven Klein; Yuan Bo Chao by Craig McDean; Jing Wen, Gia Tang & Fernanda Ly by Mario Sorrenti

Laetitia Casta by Mario Sorrenti for Lui, December/January 2014-15

Laetitia Casta’s effortless sex appeal lends itself beautifully to this dressed down intimate story for Lui. Also featured is a fantastic bondage ribbon shoot by Stephen Lewis with images inspired by Guy Bourdin. My ribbon fetish is intense, so every shot in this editorial kills me. Bravo Lui, you slay me every issue!

Gemma Ward by Mario Sorrenti for Vogue Italia, September 2005

This macabre, sensual editorial of the iconic Gemma Ward has long been a favorite of ours, and perfect for Halloween time.  Gemma floats through this gothic dreamscape like a demon looking for a soul to take.  One photograph in particular references Henry Fuseli’s vision of horror in his 1796 painting The Nightmare.

Jourdan Dunn

I would say it’s almost impossible to not be totally obsessed with Jourdan Dunn because she has so many awesome things going for her. First off, and more than anything else, is SHE’S FRIENDS WITH BEYONCE. That immediately makes her super awesome. She’s also super adorable, as amply demonstrated in her webseries Well Dunn, is friends with some of the most awesome girls in fashion right now like Cara Delevingne and Karlie Kloss (her and Karlie have a shipper name – Jourlie – that they both use and love.) On top of all this, she’s a fucking amazing model with legs for days and a butt that refuses to quit.

And hey, how about a bunch of randomly gathered editorial and candid pictures of this lovely girl?
