Here’s a little Karlie collection to marvel. Karlie is one of the models that honours the Power of the Super with her impish gaze and distinct look, while still looking modern and unique. I love her ridiculously strong body and her ability to contort her frame into impossible lines. I think Karlie, Coco Rocha, and Anna Cleveland are the most talented posers in the biz. Yeah, I just said biz! I’m coming down with a cold and I had weird sex dreams all night, I can say whatever I want! So while I continue to ramble to myself, how about y’all look at this darling portrait shoot of Karlie by Emma Tempest for the September issue of Sunday Times Style, a late summer bit of whimsy by Pamela Hanson for Paris Match, and a perfectly scrumptious Super Karlie shoot by Mario Testino for the October issue of Vogue China.

I don’t know much about Sienna Miller – other than that she looks a lot like Naomi Watts & over my 15 year long obsession with Naomi Watts, sometimes I see a picture of Sienna & think “NAOMI?” but it’s not & I’m bummed. She’s beautiful, I’ve just never gotten into her. However, these pictures for the October issue of Vogue UK made me exclaim, “NAOMI?” & then not be bummed when I realized they’re Sienna. They’re stunning! Fun, stylish, so colourful, super sexy. Every shot is a dreamy marvel. Testino is still on my side-eye list, but this helps soften my heart a bit.

Just to confuse us all, Naomi Watts is on the October cover of the Vogue Australia. Two diminutive beautiful blonde women smiling at us from the covers of International Vogues. Life is so confusing sometimes. Naomi shines in her photo, as she always does, and photographer Nathaniel Goldberg is a fresh choice, I haven’t seen much from him awhile. I think Goldberg’s muse is the colour blue, because he makes magick with every shade. The overall vibe is relatively uninspired though & the styling is terrible. Still love her with a breathless fixation. She’s just so talented.

I’m a pretty big critic of Testino – his style used to be fresh and honest, but for years it’s been generally uninspired and distractingly over-processed. This shoot, however, is a dream. Two covers, each featuring five of the ten cover-story models, are each fresh and charming, and not at all crowded like many covers that feature multiple models. The story inside is glam perfection. Each woman: Li Bing Bing, Zhang Ziyi, Zhou Xun, Du Juan, Chris Lee, Vicki Zhao, Carina Lau, Liu Wen, Fan Bing Bing, and Tang Wei contribute perfect throwback elegance in every shot. Well done Testino. You can be my friend. For now.

Beyoncé by Mario Testino for Vogue US, September 2015

Known King Beyoncé is the cover star of this year’s September Issue of Vogue. THAT’S GOOD!
There are only 4 pictures inside and only one is truly magnificent. THAT’S BAD!
One of the shots inside is making me want to shove everything off my altar & start anew with that photo as future inspiration for all my life decisions. THAT’S GOOD!
The cover isn’t great because Mario Testino shoots don’t spark any more and all his spreads are always photoshopped until all the life is removed from the image and then just one step further so something creepy happens, like a hand goes missing or no shadows exist. I mean, Bey still looks stunning, and the layout is great, but it’s still over-processed, and why would you over-process a Queen? THAT’S SOMETHING.
I lost the bit.
In conclusion! Beyoncé is on the cover of the Vogue! September Issues of Vogue will be traded as currency after the zombie apocalypse! Go buy 4 copies, make Yoncé proud!
