King of Whimsy Tim Walker provides the perfect holiday gift by slaying all in FOUR editorials for the December issue of Vogue Italia. It’s a Fashion Christmas Miracle! Kate Moss stars in a sumptuous surreal shoot where she wears lace in nearly every shot. I love Kate in lace! Karen Elson puts her Elson-spin on the classic Tim Walker portrait in a very retro inspired sitting. Anna Cleveland, Christina Carey, Erin O’Connor & Jamie Bochert serve some Sarah Moon inspired perfect in an exquisite story that actually made me cry. Anna Cleveland and Jamie Bochert are two of my favourite models, seeing them together was just too much for my odd-beauty loving heart to handle. Finally Edie Campbell is featured in a spooky harlequin shoot. All the facets of Tim’s unique style shine in every separate shoot and every single photo. I’m so happy! This is an issue I would strongly encourage purchasing in paper format. Petting the pages will be perfect art therapy.

In addition to the fantastic cover story of Léa Seydoux by Craig McDean, the November issue of Vogue UK also features a delightfully leggy cheeky editorial of Liv Tyler photographed by Venetia Scott and styled by Kate Moss. Two fashion editorials in particular stand out, both spectacularly odd, but enchanting – one kicky studio shoot that mixes mod & modern of Karlie Kloss by Patrick Demarchelier and a location/studio shoot by Harley Weir of one of my favourite models, who I think isn’t given all the credit she’s due: Saskia De Brauw. Another spectacular issue of Vogue UK, which used to kind of bore me, but lately has consistently impressed me!

David Sims Love Editorials, Fall/Winter 2015-16

Just as I was starting to complain that the Love magazine had lost its spark, it delivers a sparkling issue. David Sims shot four small, but gorgeous separate editorials for the issue – the forever enchanting Kate Moss in a dreamy black and white shoot; Edie Campbell in a small, but inspired shoot that resembles a Juergen Teller editorial; Ruth Bell in a strange and stunning shoot featuring McQueen designs; and Mia Goth in a shoot that looks like a Kate Moss story from the 90s, featuring Sims’ recognizable talent at capturing moody light and stark gazes. Each shoot is so different than the other, it’s a delight to see David Sims’ versatility at work with these very unique models.

Kate Moss by Craig McDean for W, May 2015

I love this shoot of Kate Moss by Craig McDean for the current issue of W. McDean takes such stunning close-up shots, and each bit of Moss is so beautifully recognizable, she’s a perfect study.

Kate also stars alongside her husband Jamie Hince in a lovely editorial for the May issue of US Vogue, shot by Venetia Scott.

Kate Moss by Paolo Roversi for W, April 2015

I love this shadowy gossamer spooky shoot of Kate Moss shot by Paolo Roversi for the current issue of W Magazine. I haven’t been especially into Roversi lately, but Kate, serving as constant muse, seemed to inspire some of his classic magick for this story. Every shot is glorious.
