Alright nerds, hold on to your everything because I have a whole lotta GoT/other nerd crossover star photos to throw at you! We’re being blessed with so much Gwendoline Christie right now thanks to the upcoming Star Wars movie, we’ve got a little Emilia Clarke our mother of dragons/John Connor, and hey, why not our favourite Wildling/aspiring secretary maid Rose Leslie (Yes Downton Abbey is a nerd show! I watched every episode even though it got REALLY bad, it sparks devotion! It features costumes and high drama and controversial character deaths. NERRRRRD!)

All of these pictures are beautiful, but lets be real and admit it: THE GWENDOLINE PICTURES ARE BLOWING OUR MINDS! AREN’T THEY? THEY ARE! God, she’s perfect.

Rooney Mara by Peter Lindbergh for Interview, November 2015

Rooney Mara is the cover star of the November issue of Interview Magazine, and while I’d rather just look at pictures of Rooney looking at Cate, these Peter Lindbergh black and white street photos are outstanding. I’ll just pretend Cate is next to Lindbergh, telling Rooney what a great job she’s doing and how much she loves her. Cate and Rooney’s film Carol comes out the end of November, and we are all going to WEEP! GLORIOUS BEAUTIFUL GAY TEARS!

Also featured in the issue is a lovely little photo shoot of Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones star Rose Leslie. I’d make a joke about The Great War, or Jon Snow, but neither of those things are funny, so just look at the pretty redhead!

Nicole Kidman by Fabien Baron for Interview, October 2015

I was just talking to a friend yesterday, debating whether or not Nicole still has Star Power. I am arguably a blind follower of NikkiK. Moulin Rouge and The Hours are two of my favourite movies. I saw Bewitched and Stepford Wives in the theatre. I can guess a past event she’s attended based on her outfit. I can quote her Oscar acceptance speech. I’ve memorized most of her editorials and can identify the publication and photographer just from the image. I love her as a redhead AND a blonde. I think she’s brave and wonderful. I defend her plastic surgery choices because it’s HER GODDAMNED FACE. But, if I remove my heart from the argument, yes, I can see why some people might doubt Nicole’s staying-power in film. Because, you know, Bewitched and Stepford Wives and plastic surgery isn’t a great choice for a dramatic actress since they need their face to move and express emotion.

But then, like magick, this shoot for the October issue of Interview Magazine arrived this morning to remind me that my heart is right, and Nicole is a force. Nicole tells a story in every editorial, and this one is a sultry, mischievous bit of wonder. Also! Those legs! I think they’re so beautiful we’re gonna have to call them gams. Those gams! They don’t stop!

Edie Campbell by Patrick Demarchelier for Interview, May 2015

Edie Campbell is giving us some badass Richard Prince biker babe goodness in this editorial by Patrick Demarchelier for the current issue of Interview. Most Demarchelier editorials are romantic location shoots, I love this bold black and white studio shoot.

Homage to John Kacere by Robbie Fimmano for Interview, March 2015

This lush editorial from March’s Interview magazine is an homage to artist John Kacare. Kacere was one of the pioneers of the photo realism, painting ladies’ torsos clad in lingerie.   His subjects were usually lounging in bed, giving the paintings a sense of intimacy, with an emphasis on the fullness of curves.
