Arthur Elgort is an American photographer primarily known for his work with US Vogue. His photographs celebrate the classic look of femininity, emphasizing glamorous elements like make up and styling. He’s also done extensive portraits of young ballerinas, capturing the grace and poise of a dancer.
American photographer Annie Leibovitz has been a prolific artist since the 1970s, where she first came into public consciousness with her iconic photography for Rolling Stone magazine. Her use of bold colours and unposed subjects have made her one of our generation’s best portrait photographers – best exampled by her most famous photo, that of John Lennon and Yoko Ono taken just days before his death. She has photographed everyone from the Queen of England to victims of domestic abuse to Hillary Clinton to countless actors, artists, musicians and political figures. These are a selection of some of my favorites of her photographs.
James White photographs music icon Annie Lennox in his home for VVV Magazine. Annie’s latest studio album Nostalgia is released this month. The album is a selection of Annie’s favourite jazz and blues songs from her childhood. VVV magazine is celebrating its issue release tomorrow, October 15th. The issue also features Noomi Rapace, Cindy Crawford, Carmen Electra, Tasha Tilberg, and Hannah Vandermolen. Below are the two stunning stories James White shot of Annie and Hannah. Annie’s gaze meets James’ lens beautifully, and the beautiful lines of his home are a perfect set for Annie’s striking features, every shot is full of gorgeous angles. James shoots model Hannah Vandermolen in a powdery pale spread that’s both spooky and sexy.

The September issues of most major fashion magazines this year really celebrated the model, and paid excellent tribute to the Supers. The Bazaar UK was no exception, with a fantastic cover of Linda Evangelista shot by Sebastian Faena and a 18-page spread inside of models including many of the Supers – like Linda, Cindy, and Claudia; new faces like Gigi Hadid and Stacy Martin; actress/models like Penelope Cruz and Monica Bellucci; and timeless icons like Iman and Lauren Hutton.
The issue also features a lovely little spread of Audrey Hepburn’s granddaughter Emma Ferrer shot by Richard Avedon’s grandson Michael Avedon. What a lovely homage both to Audrey and to Avedon’s work! Emma is a beautiful model, I look forward to seeing more of her.
