Two perfectly autumnal spreads from the October issue of Bazaar UK remind us that it’s not winter yet, even though it’s really starting to feel like it, isn’t it? And even though I listened to Hard Candy Christmas today. And even though I saw a clerk at the grocery store switching out the Halloween candy bins for candy canes on HALLOWEEN DAY. IT’S STILL FALL! FALL 4EVA BITCHES! Audrey Marnay, who might be my favourite current redhead model, stars in a romantic shoot where she looks like a renaissance painting subject in every shot by Erik Madigan Heck. Elisabeth Erm is an elegant boho vision in a shoot by the ever so talented Regan Cameron.

The November issue of Bazaar UK is as strong as the November issue of Vogue UK. Get it Brits! Cover star Rachel Weisz proves she’s a vampire by looking positively ageless in the beautiful spread by Tom Craig. I love women in fancy dresses and no shoes! So end-of-a-fabulous-night! So darling! Such a story to tell with one little detail removed! Rachel stars in The Lobster alongside Colin Farrell this Holiday Award Season. It looks great! She’s great! I adore her.

Also featured in the issue is a stunning Regan Cameron (who I love & haven’t seen lately) shoot of Zuzanna Bijoch (who I love solely based on this shoot because I have no memory of seeing her before). I love a model who can wear a couture gown and not become lost inside it. She’s sparkling and everything she’s wearing is swooning me!

Finally, one of my favourite models of all time, who I will insist you all look at whenever given the opportunity, Guinevere Van Seenus stars in a tiny little spooky spread by Sølve Sundsbø that reminds me why I’ve dedicated my life to all things heartbreakingly beautiful.

I’m still giggle-watching Downton Abbey, which I have renamed, “My how things change as the years pass”, and it’s ridiculous and boring, but still so beautiful and fun. It basically consists of every character marvelling at how different things are now, in 1925 than they were then, in years before 1925. It’s so heavy handed, but it looks great!

My crush on Bates remains strong and powerful, he’s such a good husband/man/possible-murderer????? The cast has great camaraderie and yes, the wigs & ageing make-up are terrible, but the costumes, my loves, the COSTUMES! Plus I love final seasons of shows because ANYONE CAN DIE! And this show is already ruthless about killing off main characters with incompetent doctors/driving skills.

And then there’s this fierce diva pictured below whose weapons are her willow-slim arms and impossible eyebrows which she uses to test drive men’s sexual performance before deciding they’re not worthy of her, or to murder them with her SEXUALITY. God, she’s perfect! When not man-slaying she hangs out in her awesome room, just chatting with her bff/professional dress buttoner Anna while patting her bobbed wig, applying scents to her delicate inner wrists that trick men into thinking she won’t cut them if they cross her, trying on endless earbobs and lavaliers and long strings of pearls that I imagine she uses as a fuck lasso after dinner and cards and raising her sex-arch brows in response to everything everyone says. If you’re still with me in the final episodes of Downton watching, observe Mary every time Edith says anything, it’s hilarious! She rolls her eyes if Edith says hello. Every thing that poor woman says is scorned by her superhero eyebrow sister. I love it! I love them! I LOVE THIS SHOW!

But seriously, it’s not great. Worth it for the Dockery though. Worth it hard.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley stars in this extra pretty shoot by Alexi Lubomirski for the September Issue of Bazaar UK. She looks like a pastel princess! Also featured in the issue is a moody shoot by Vincent Peters of Maryna Linchuk. What I love best about a Vincent Peters shoot is that the retouching is gorgeous and skillful. Every photo looks like a romantic painting.
